A lot of people have started using Google Home Mini, smart bulb, smart TV and I don’t know what else.
Like we discussed in another thread if they are on a single network, I fear smart is a bad word here.
mvp yes, this is a topic that is close to my heart 😀
I just don’t get it - why does your fridge, kettle, toaster, etc need internet access ? Smart ordering of groceries etc ? Ok, but have we really become that lazy we have to rely on technology for everything ?
Why does a bulb need to be smart ? 😛
mvp It doesn’t. If you really want to dim the lights, there are remote controls for this that do not need to be connected to the internet.
Physical remote controls ?
mvp Yes - like the one you use for your TV.
Do they ? The Philips one we get here only support apps. No physical remote.
mvp Yes, that same technology has been in the UK for years.
